The thirteenth Dubai Jazz Festival id going to be held this month. Many stars and celebrities will be performing on stage for this glamorous event. Chillout Production confirmed another addition act for the 13th Edition of the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival 2015. The American musician, song-writer and Producer John Legend has been selected to perform a headline act on the main event.
John Legend is known for his legendary voice and soulful songs in R&B style. John is on a world tour and performing all around the world. He is visiting again after last years event here in Dubai. John Legend is going to bring the jazz, pop and soul music back to Dubai. The jazz musician performed earlier as well in the same event. The event is scheduled for 27th of February at the Dubai Media City Amphitheater.
Also the closing ceremony will be performed by Esperanza Spalding. The opening ceremony will be performed by both Esperanza Spalding and John Legend. Esperanza Spalding is an acclaimed Singer, jazz bassist and cellist.
Anthony Younis, CEO and co-founder of chillout production expressed his enthusiasm on having John Legend back in the event. He reportedly has been awaiting the successful singer’s performance. Younis also added that after the hit of his latest new single “All of me”, John immediately became his first choice to open the event. after the success in the 2009 performance and counting his demand after the hit single he became a must have for the show.
Younis admired the singer by adding how he is the great young innovative artist. Younis also added how John Legend and his songs are unique, recognizable and bring a certain elegance to mind. He said ” John Legend is a an icon and a R&B true star”. John Legend is a nine time grammy winner. Since his performance here in 2009 his stardom has increased drastically. Younis is eager to welcome the artist again in the city. He promises the evening with John Legend every bit romantic and intimate celebration as they would hope for.
Under the new format too the festival still maintains its relaxed atmosphere. Their is still the variety of seating arrangements as usual. The comfortable and elegant front pit (AED 950), the golden circle(AED 750) and Regular Standing (AED 395). the high end VIP Spirit (AED 1,250) has been dedicated to VIP, sponsors or corporate.
