If you like the Jag, you are going to be thrilled with the new Jaguar XE luxury sedan. Jaguar showed the new luxury sedan in its line up, the 2015 XE at the Paris Motor Show. The company will launch the car in international markets next year. The Indian launch will happen only in 2016. The XE will be the cheapest Jaguar car in the automaker’s range. The car will compete with the BMW 3 Series and the Mercedes Benz C Class. Jaguar will also introduce a high power version of the XE.

The high performance Jaguar XE S will get a larger engine and an all wheel drive. The other regular versions of the Jaguar XE will retain turbocharged petrol and diesel engines with smaller displacements and performance levels. Regular versions of the 2015 Jaguar XE sedan will get a rear wheel drive, manual and automatic transmissions. The petrol and diesel engines of the regular 2015 Jaguar XE will come from the Ingenium range.
The Ingenium range of petrol and diesel engines are built of aluminium and this makes them lighter than conventional engine that use cast iron blocks. The Ingenium range of engines are also more fuel efficient and they emit lower emissions. The 2 liter Ingenium turbocharged diesel engine is available in 163 Hp-380 Nm and 180 Hp-430 Nm tunes. 6 speed manual and 8 speed automatic gearboxes are offered with this engine.

The 2 liter Ingenium turbocharged petrol engine is available in 200 Hp-240 Nm and 240 Hp-340 Nm tunes. The high performance XE S version uses a 3 liter V6 engine. This engine is supercharged and comes with 340 Hp and 480 Nm outputs. All the petrol engines get the 8 speed automatic gearbox. The various versions of the Jaguar XE are, Pure, Prestige, Portfolio, R Sport and S.
Since the XE luxury sedan is meant to bring in big sales for Jaguar, the company will have to price the car competitively in India. To do this, the company will assemble the car in India.
