What will I be doing?
As Purchasing Coordinator, you will supervise the purchase of goods and materials required by the hotel in adherence to policy and with cost reduction and profitability in mind. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Undertake tasks &responsibilities as instructed by the Cluster Purchasing Manager
Discusses with the ClusterPurchasing Manager of any issues / challenges in the operation
Undertake/attendtrainings as instructed by the Cluster Purchasing Manager/HR department
Responsible for the smoothday to day operations of the department
Ensure efficient cooperation between all departments for other related administrativeduties and responsibilities.
Support the Department & Team
Motivate colleagues and create a team environment through living Esprit
Give trainees a comprehensive insight into the purchasing system and organise a tourof the department during working hours
Responsible for thedocumented initial training of newly appointed staff at the workplace
To be aware of the work regulations, audit regulations, fire protection regulationsand evacuation regulations of the hotel
Comply with Hotel standards in relation to personal hygiene& ensure grooming is in line with Hilton policy
Support the team in maintenance of HAACP standards
