Job Summary

Experienced Buyer, managing higher complexity luxury brands or portfolio. Using it’s in-depth knowledge to optimize Sell Trough Rates and grow the business.

Responsible for the selection on a Luxury Brand / Shop merchandise and its assortment. He will use quantitative information regarding Sales, Best Selling Items, Stock Coverage and others; alongside quality data as Fashion trends, cultural fit, general customer feedback to leverage seasonal sales.

PRE - BUYING

  • Analyzing specific country/shop market data regarding:
    • Sales Turn Over
    • Best Sellers
    • Slow Movers
    • Trends in Country
    • Shop location & targeted customer
    • Stock Coverage
  • Sales Target / Budget for specific shop / country
  • Prepares a pre-buying report

BUYING

 

  • Meets suppliers & negotiates Terms of Purchase
    Consider in terms of buying
    § Fashion trends

  • If applicable, review collection bought equate if any change can be incorporated in production : Size / length / Color

POST-BUYING

 

  • Build a Presentation of the Buying (items acquired) for:
  • Informational Purposes for management (regional & country)
  • Training purposes for shops & shop staff
  • Presentation of the specific products
  • Present key brand recommendations

 

STOCK MANAGEMENT & OVERALL SELL THROUGH

 

  • Work together with Brand Analysts to Monitor the Sell Through Rate up to 60% Sell Trough (in terms of value vs seasonal merchandise) on a Region Level:
  • Act & Liaison with Brand Analysts for Recovery Plan if required
  • Work together with Brand Analyst to ensure Stock Management is up to par with Turn Over (turn over during 1 year, 120 days, 90 days)

 

SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT

  • Build & Maintain Vendor Relationship in a win/win measurement
  • Monitors Merchandise Shipment up to Shop Receives it.

 

BUDGET MANAGEMENT

  • Provides accurate input for budget preparation

 

ONGOING ACTIVITIES

  • Work together with Brand Analysts to ensure accurate Customer Profiling
  • Anticipates Future Trends
  • Monitors the Competition
  • Visit the shops (half a day / week) - visual checking
  • Act as Mentor & Coach for lower Level Buyers

Desired Skills and Experience

Education

University Degree in Business or Marketing

 

Previous Experience

3 - 5 years of relevant experience

GCC/MENA experience is a plus
