Our client is a leading Developer.

We’re looking for a PR & Events Director to work within a key business unit.

To summairise the role:

PURPOSE

To create and oversee an over-arching PR & Events strategy, that provides core messaging, and pr opportunities that generate excitement in the marketplace and maximize exposure for ou clients business, be they regional, national or international as well as to deliver communications and public relation programs for the Business and its related projects.

RESPONISBILITIES

•PR and Events Strategy and Plan: Prepare the PR, Communications, and Events strategy and set the PR project plans and budgets that provide targeted Public Relations – Reach key audience effectively via the media through proactive article and feature placement, press conferences, personal interviews, video news releases and build media relations at a senior level across all locations

•Media Content: Identify and create media content for event related projects such as Exhibitions, Press conferences, Signing ceremonies, ground breakings, opening ceremonies and site tours that supports overall brand positioning

•Consultants: Identify, contract and manage all PR consultants via briefing plans and sharing of brand messaging

•Launch events/ Exhibitions: Manage events strategy and negotiate speaking platforms, speechwriting and Multi-media presentations;

•Direct Communications: Maintain communications with key audiences via newsletters, direct mail and database campaigns

•Media Training: Train spokespersons on handling interviews and appropriate media response

•Digital: Set strategy for all social media platforms to ensure positive market presence

•Newsletters and internal Communications – Encompassing the creation, management and distribution of a regular Newsletter, and any supporting requirements such as supplier / consultant communications

•Research – Provide local market intelligence on opportunities and developments that may impact the interests of the business

•PR: Manage the media via the PR agency to ensure press releases, interviews, events and brand coverage

•Crisis Planning: Communications and Damage Limitation – Identifying potential threats to the operations and reputation of the business, such as situations affecting public health and safety, with the aim of ensuring a crisis never happens. Provide plans and skills that enable the company to react in a way that limits the damage to the long-term reputation of the business. Issues and Rumor Management and Counseling – Developing communications systems to monitor, anticipate, respond to and influence key political, cultural and social trends and issues

•Team Relations: Establish a good working relationship with project development staff, Joint Venture Partners and Strategic Marketing Director and Senior Brand Manager

•Reports: Deliver accurate reports (such as Plans, Presentations, WIP’s, Activities Calendar) for head office in a timely manner following all templates

•Other: Follow up actions as maybe directed by Executive Development Director and Strategic Marketing Director
