The Practice Leader will also help local MDs source and/or interview and select leaders within the practice for local markets.
2. Building the Business
The Practice leader is expected to lead and support new business development and pitches, whether they be farming existing clients or hunting new clients. Beyond pan-regional and global efforts, the Practice Leader will help local offices win accounts in their markets. They are expected to give valued, client counsel and to be billable in their own right (percentage of time to be agreed each year, though it is understood for a practice leader the percentage will never exceed 30%). The Practice Leader will collaborate freely and seek the help of the Strategy & Planning group for new business efforts, and will collaborate with the MO Group for leads.
3.Building the Reputation
It is expected that that the practice leader will drive the reputation of the practice through thought leadership, speaking and networking. They will make us respected and known among our peers and clients as excellent thinkers in this space.

- Willing to embrace continual self-development.
- Supports enthusiastically the company’s culture and way of doing things and understands the need to pass this culture along to all staff.
- Matches the most effective style of leadership to each employee rather than sticking to one personal style, understanding some employees will need very hands-on management and others will need far more autonomy

- Must balance the need for raising his own profile and that of the company, with constantly making heroes out of deserving lower-level staff. And must be a great collaborator in the network.
- Must have the ability to inspire teams and clients alike with his/her ideas, intuition and counsel. A love of digging into a brief with a team and cracking it with true insights and big ideas that move beyond clever observations or tactical-only executions.
