Visual Merchandising Specialist- Sephora

Job description

MISSION:

Reporting to the Division Manager Store Operations, the Visual Merchandising Specialist (VM) is responsible for creating concepts in line with the retailer’s directives and deploying high quality merchandising throughout Sephora’s GCC network (covering UAE, KSA, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain).

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Creative Co-ordination:

  • Develop Sephora’s Middle Eastern VM strategy and issue a guideline book that will be shared with brand partners
  • Prepare a yearly VM budget and follow up by project
  • Submit a mood or concept board for each project which is aligned to the retailer’s VM strategy and liaise with internal clients (e.g. Commercial, Category Management, Animation or Marketing Department)
  • Build up network with leading design agencies in the market and monitor spendings per agency
  • Prepare clear briefs by project to kick off design and production phase with external agencies

 

Visual merchandising

  • Ensure the coherence of store displays and alignment to the retailers VM strategy
  • Implement VM policies and reporting tools inside stores and coach store team to follow up that all installations are coherent
  • Ensure quality standard of all store displays
  • Coordinate with animation team to forward monthly display guidelines and ensure perfect execution
  • Ensure all visual merchandising for any store opening is secured ahead of time and properly implemented
  • Coordinate windows production and installation (retailer and brand designs)
  • Implement VM for retailer events
  • Develop and implement retailer and private label brand animations (aligned with Marketing and Category Management team)

 

Furniture production, Coordination and Installation

  • Set up roll out strategy by store classification for all new furniture concepts
  • Discover new furniture trends from Sephora’s international network or other leading retailers and adapt to Middle Eastern store concept
  • Develop agency brief and planogram by furniture
  • Align with internal clients (Commercial and Category Management team) on location of furniture on floor plan
  • Follow up production process and ensure installation according to set schedule

 

Training:

  • Ensure all staff is provided with intensive trainings and given all material to follow up instore VM guidelines

 

Quality Control:

  • Visit all stores regularly and issue visit reports with pictures and comments
  • Develop quality control tool to ensure implementation on store level and align with commercial team

Desired Skills and Experience

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • More than 5 years’ experience in Visual Merchandising
  • Degree in Interior Design or Marketing
  • Proficient in use of AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office Applications
  • Fluency in English language, Arabic preferred
  • Creative, innovative and have analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to travel in the region
