Role Summary/Purpose
We are currently looking for an Application Specialist to expand our Product Management Team in the area of non-destructive testing in the MEA region.
This role will be part of a global Product Management Team with the majority of the team and the manager being located in Germany at the manufacturing facility.
Essential Responsibilities
•Interact with local customers to position GE Inspection Technologies (GEIT) as their prime, multi-modality NDT problem solver
•Visit and host local customers to develop NDT solutions, including UT, ET, RT and/or VT techniques, through laboratory and field evaluation of customer samples
•Self-reliant and target-orientated solving of NDT problems based on available products
•Communicate and specify customer requirements to COE’s where no existing product can meet requirements
•Manage and execute NDT development projects while adhering to project schedules and performance requirements
•Identify, support and drive growth opportunities, triggered by initiatives and based on market knowledge
•Produce solution procedures, reports and contribute technical content to marketing materials
•Provide technical leadership to internal and external customers as assigned
•Represent the company on conferences and workshops or in front of the customer
Qualifications/Requirements
•ISO 9712 or ASNT Level III or equivalent in UT & ET essential
•ISO 9712 Level II or equivalent in PA UT desired
•ISO 9712 or ASNT Level I or II or equivalent in RT and/or VT desired
•Interest to further expand NDT knowledge, positive attitude to support multi-modality approach
•Practical, hands-on experience in field NDT applications highly desired with an emphasis on NDT for Oil and Gas
•Experience using Solid Modelling, and NDT simulation software desirable
•Beneficial Skills include: Mechanical Design; Broad understanding of mechanical principles; Knowledge of machining practices; Electronics and Electro-mechanics; Six Sigma /Lean experience or certifications
•Associate degree minimum with significant related experience. BS or MS in a related field or equivalent experience desired
•Proactive way of working, decisiveness, can-do attitude
•Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills, positive attitude to integrate in multi-national matrix organisation
•Demonstrated written and oral communication skills in English language
•Proficient use of MS Office products
