SAFETY ENGINEER (CONSTRUCTION SAFETY)

Responsible to implement and maintain safety programs at the project site and carry out necessary safety reviews and inspections to ensure adherence to laid down safety norms and regulations. Ensure safety training, compliance, tracking and control at project sites and collate and analyze

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors degree in Engineering in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical or HSE science
• IOSH and NEBOSH General Certification or equivalent
• 10 to 12 years of experience in Oil and Gas, refineries, industrial process plants and / or EPC companies as a safety office/engineer
• Previous experience in Qatar/GCC is preferred
• Previous experience in project Management is preferred

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review site activities on a regular basis and ensure that safety policies are complied withby Contractors/ suppliers and report non-compliance to QHSE Manager
• Review the work permits procedures to various teams to operate under hazardous conditions for compliance and implementation of same
• Review and update HSE plans, and Inspection Test Plans from contractors win line with Company’s HSE plan
• Conduct training on safety practices and policies, accident prevention techniques and accident reporting
• Ensure that regular site safety audits are conducted, including the inspection of facilities, worksites, equipment, work practices and condition of safety facilities, fire fighting facilities and devices to ensure compliance with required safety standards, regulations and Company Policy
