Senior Infrastructure Manager – Abu Dhabi – 2 x 6 months contract extendable

We are urgently in searching for a Infrastructure Manager to work in Abu Dhabi for a 2 x 6 months extendable contract. This position is for a fast growing challenging organization seeking to grow and develop their IT department. Priority will be given to candidates already based in the UAE as we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

Your role as as Infrastructure manager will involve the following;

• Drive and Execute Infrastructure projects across multiple technologies closely working with business teams in infrastructure, Application Development, and operational units across multiple lines of business.
• Define purpose, clear roles, tasks, milestones, budgets and measures of success.
• Ensure projects are completed in accordance with all Risk, Architecture and other relevant firm-wide guidelines
• Manage the project estimating activity. Work with Project Team to communicate approach; present plans and gain sign-off from the business and IT leadership.
• Implement resource strategy for specific organization and to implement sourcing schedule to ensure workforce coverage.
• Conduct project/phase kick-off meetings to communicate individual roles and project expectations and ensure that all project team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively.
• Monitor projects on an ongoing basis, evaluating progress and quality, managing issue resolution process and taking corrective action as necessary.
• Provide action plans to mitigate risk and help implement them, when applicable. Monitor financial delivery and issue management processes, escalating issues and variances to budgets where necessary.
• Ensure proper operations turnover and SLA updates.
• Act as a communication channel for ongoing project management status and issues, and setting business expectations.
• Lead the post-implementation review evaluating project results, including client satisfaction.
• Play a role in performance management, giving personal feedback to senior team members. Promote effective teamwork and manage the resolution of interpersonal issues.
• Carry out the high-level design of secure computer networking applications.
• Evaluates needs for new and revised systems; identifies possible improvements in computer systems; makes recommendations for purchase of new systems hardware and software; negotiates with vendors for services and products; oversees work of vendors.
• Oversee opportunities for enhancements for the existing systems and data center, operations and processes and ensure readiness of the infrastructure and facilities for future operational plans.
• Prepare feasibility studies and scope of work and review proposals for the acquisition of new systems and network services solutions (hardware and software) as required.
• Prepare scope of services, amendments, and renewals, technical reviews to maintenance contracts related to systems and network to ensure the fulfillment of all needs.
• Identify opportunities for enhancements for the network/systems and ensure the readiness of the infrastructure and facilities for future operational plans.
• Determine specific system/network/security hardware or software requirements, such as platforms, interfaces, bandwidths, or routine schemas in order to support business requirements.
