JOB PURPOSE
Responsible to maintain and update the flow of documents and upkeep important information about project drawings, FEED and GFC (Good for Construction) drawings, equipment designs, project documents etc. Follow standard company project guidelines and formats to ensure all documents adhere to set standards
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelors degree in Engineering with specialization in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation stream
• Any other relevant certification will be an added advantage
• Certification in document management software like EDMS or others
• 12 to 15 years experience in an EPC company and or / engineering consultancy and or / downstream / other industrial engineering projects in managing document control systems and software
• Previous experience in Qatar / GCC is preferred
• Sound knowledge of engineering document and configuration management systems and tools
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Implements a comprehensive document control system identifying risks and establishing appropriate controls and related policies and guidelines
• Maintains and continuously updates database of project drawings, GFC drawings, equipment designs
• Maintains versions control of all drawings and documents and ensures that the latest version is used for work
• Maintains various register to update the delivery dates of all the correspondences, drawings receipt, and notes
• Examine project documents such as blueprints, drawings, change orders, and specifications to verify completeness and accuracy of data
• Provide project drawing delivery inputs to planning for MIS
