JOB PURPOSE
Assist the Senior Project Execution Engineer for ensuring the planning, monitoring, supervision and QHSE compliance of the on-site construction / execution activities (performed by EPC or other contractors) of assigned downstream / other industrial projects. Provide timely feedback to the Senior Project Execution Engineer regarding project progress, deviations, and changes. Responsible for dealing with contractors / suppliers and administering and managing projects costs and schedules
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelors degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical
• Masters / Post Graduate degree in Engineering or Business Administration with specialization in construction management will be preferable
• Professional Project Management Certification (PMP) will be an added advantage
• 12 to 15 years of experience in project management and execution of downstream / other industrial projects in EPC company / technical services group of an operating company
• Previous experience in Qatar / GCC is preferred
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Overall and continuous supervision, monitoring and surveillance of work performed at site by contractors & project management consultants
• Ensure that quality inspections are conducted and work quality is maintained as mentioned in quality control manual
• Monitor quality conformance and close out reports as raised by PMC or EPC contractor
• Verify contractor bills and work completed (after verification by PMC / EPC) assess veracity of change request and claims made by contractor
• Ensure availability of drawings & documents, raw material, receipt of equipment at site as per schedule
• Coordinate with concerned parties to resolve routine and complex site issues related to quality, safety, and construction method
• Coordinate in pre commissioning and commissioning activities, mechanical completion, and acceptance and taking over procedure
• Ensure compliance of labor laws by contractor
• Ensure compliance regarding QHSE plans by contractors
