JOB PROFILE
As the Lead Engineer you will be required to coordinate project and discipline engineering activities (FEL to project completion) and apply extensive and highly specialized knowledge of engineering principles and practices on medium to large projects in broad areas of assignments to design and oversee assigned engineering projects.
JOB QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Degree qualified in any Engineering disciplines – Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum eight years of oil industry experience
At least Two to three years of experience in a supervisory or acting supervisory role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide support in the conceptualization, planning, scheduling, designing and performing other engineering activities required to support plant improvements and new business opportunities.
Ensure that sufficient early dialog on the justification, value assessment; alternative review and economic analysis are completed prior to initiating the project.
Coordinate with the project and local Management Team the development and implementation of the Business Opportunity Plan
Ensure proper documentation of the project goals and objectives supportive of the business strategy.
Oversee the integration and implementation of all project and discipline work processes and measurements to drive project successfully.
Manage project design and construction to ensure that the facilities and equipment are engineered and built according to the key project plans and within the schedule and budget constraints.
Responsible for ensuring the safety, efficiency, productivity and overall performance of the project
Formulate and present Project Execution Plan(s) and other proposals, including details on the planning, scoping, budgeting and scheduling and expenditure authorizations.
Provide appropriate and/or alternative solutions to issues raised to secure the necessary approvals.
Responsible for documenting key project measurements and learning experiences in the Project Closure Report to ensure excellent teamwork among project members
Ensure that all principles, procedures and practices strictly comply with EH&S guidelines, regulatory and permit requirements.
Serve as coach to other project team members.
Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.
