Objectives

 

The logistics market manager middle east and Africa, based in Dubai, is the owner of the logistics cost and service level for all finished goods sold in the region.

 

In the countries where Electrolux has established a sales organisation, he/she will lead and develop the activities in warehousing, domestic distribution, import and export activities (customs, etc.) and quality for finished products (major appliances / white goods and small appliances / floor care as well as other products) to guarantee defined service levels to customers at optimised cost and to support the development of the business. These countries are currently Turkey, Egypt and South Africa.

- University Degree in Engineering, Economics or Supply Chain and Logistics

- minimum 10 years experience preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Sales, Computer literacy

- required language: English is mandatory

- Arabic is an asset.

 

He/she will also work together with north american logistics organisation to optimise cost/service level for flows sold through the UWI entity - and with european logistics for flows sold through the Electrolux international entity.

 

He/She will also take responsibility for the design and set-up of new logistics organisations in countries of the region in which Electrolux may establish sales organisations in the future / or in countries of the region in which Electrolux may change the current distributor model.

 

He/she will act as a strong advisor/facilitator for all logistics-related matters with Electrolux’s distributors and related carriers.

Logistics Director EMA EMEA

 

Key operational responsibilities

 

Strengthening image of Electrolux when handing over the products to the customer - Optimizing the Service / Efficiency / Cost/ Quality levels for the different business sectors, and Defining the KPIs dashboard specific for MEA flows - Developing and implementing logistic strategy in the markets served in accordance with Electrolux’ strategy

 

- Defining with Sales the service level per country as far as secondary distribution is concerned

- Delivering operational excellence in warehousing and distribution

- Sharing know-how and best practise within the Logistics team and with other departments

- Contracting and negotiating (in cooperation with purchasing) third part logistics and service providers

- Fulfilling the agreed service levels while driving cost to serve improvement

- Managing logistic quality and returns

- Driving the changes to exploit new business opportunities in collaboration with Sales

- Driving logistics costs improvements in terms of : set up in countries, primary, secondary and warehousing

- Be advisory person for customs activities

- For the distributors model (sales FOB or EXW), Streamline the relations with Customer`s carriers to improve delivery reliability
He/She will lead a team of competent managers and specialists in charge of different functions (Distribution, Warehousing, Quality, Controlling) in the area of Finished Goods and Accessories, spread across the different countries of the region.
