Aamir Khan praises Shaukeens

The movie shaukeen is getting rave reviews. They have big stars pitching in for special appearance. The star cast now includes big Bollywood actors like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Akshay Kumar to give special performances.

The movie seems to be getting great applause. In the view of the movie screens one star has gone ahead in becoming another praise of the movie. The superstar Aamir khan has now been added to list of celebs joining in on the shaukeen trending wave in an innovative way.

The actor has decided to let the filmmakers of the movie use a track from his own production use a track from his own production. He found the scene befitting of the song and “very funny”.

Aamir was reported to have said “Abhishek Sharma, the director of the movie Shaukeen wanted the track Saigal Blues from Delhi Belly (2011). He wanted the song to be played in the background when the three actors namely Anupam Kher, Piyush Mishra and Annu Kapoor are being introduced in the film. The producer Ashwin Varde said that “When Akshay saw the song placement he also felt that it fited perfectly in the scene ,”. And so it was decided that the rights for the song would be obtained from the concerned music company.

However, once the formalities of obtaining the song were complete, the makers were informed that the final approval would be given by none other than Aamir Khan himself. He was the producer of Delhi Belly. “We were told that Aamir wants to see the entire scene where the song had been placed. I thought that was commendable. Such commitment towards one’s work is unheard of”, says Sharma, who has directed Tere Bin Laden before this.

Unfortunately, Aamir was travelling at that time. But the day he arrived in Mumbai, he asked to be shown the scene.He soon realised that the makers were running against a steep deadline. Varde shares, “It was at some late hour in the night that Aamir saw the scene, and he approved it immediately”.

The actor left The Shaukeens’ team smiling. He also told the team that he found the scene hilarious. “He told me, ‘I saw the scene and it’s very funny”. “This means a lot coming from someone like Aamir” smiles Varde.

The Shaukeens, produced by Murad Khetani, Cape Of Good Films and Ashwin Varde, releases on November 7.
