Job description
This role will be responsible for the development and execution of internal and external communications, sponsorship activities, marketing, and related planning and budgeting in support of the Zone’s strategic agenda.
The position will:
o Support the MENA Zone executive team, key business lines, project teams and countries
o Engage employees across the Zone
o Raise the visibility of AIG and the brand with external audiences
Key Responsibilities
• Create and implement corporate communications, internal communications and media relations programs to position AIG as a thought leader and innovator in the MENA Zone.
• Deliver creative, out-of-the-box strategies that leverage marketing programs and field sales force capabilities to deliver highly profitable acquisition, cross-sell and customer retention programs. Work closely with segment managers and product owners to design and execute overall marketing, sales analytics and readiness, and eCommerce strategies.
• Manage all sponsorship activities for the MENA Zone, particularly with respect to the All Blacks event engagement and hospitality.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to develop product launch plans, creative strategies, and integrated marketing plans up to the point of execution. Facilitate seamless hand-off to channel/program specialists for marketing execution.
• Build a virtual MENA-wide communications and marketing network that provides appropriate guidance to ensure a coordinated approach throughout the Zone.
• Research and solve complex marketing challenges that go beyond product and segment silos. This includes cross product or segment positioning, drivers analysis and development, messaging optimisation, and cross-program go-to-market strategies.
• Support the MENA Zone Managing Director and their team, acting as a focal point for communications and marketing needs.
• Create marketing plans fully aligned with business plans in close coordination with business partners, and lead the execution.
• Build a strong AIG brand through thought leadership, advertising and sponsorships.
• Ensure paid media is planned and executed efficiently and in alignment with our business objectives.
• Develop mutually supportive relationships with stakeholders at country, zone, regional and global levels.

Position Requirements
• Excellent written communications, with an ability to communicate across business lines and countries, and with regional and global communications colleagues
• Minimum 7-10 years of communications and marketing experience, preferably in a financial services or related organisation
• Able to generate conceptual ideas and gain internal cooperation
• Track record of developing engaging communications and marketing that reach a variety of audiences
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines appropriately
• Able to counsel stakeholders on communications and marketing issues as appropriate
• Able to create organisational systems that will manage processes effectively
• Working knowledge of communications and marketing delivery across Europe, Middle East and Africa generally, and across the Middle East/North Africa specifically
• University graduate
