We currently are seeking a highly motivated IT Transformation Senior Consultant to support client engagement teams with the telecommunications industry.
You’ll actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships. With guidance from partners, directors and senior managers, you’ll identify potential business opportunities for EY. Drawing on your knowledge and experience, you’ll create innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs and contribute to thought leadership.
You’ll actively contribute to improving operational efficiency on IT Advisory projects and internal initiatives. In line with EY’s commitment to quality, you’ll also consistently drive projects to completion and confirm that work is of high quality. Your role in leading teams - or parts of teams - on engagements will depend on the size of engagement. When working on engagements, you’ll report to higher levels of management, who will expect you to anticipate and identify risks, and escalate any issues as appropriate.
As an influential member of the team, you’ll help to create a positive learning culture, coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.

EY is seeking experienced consultants to join the IT Transformation Team within its IT Advisory Telecomms service line. We have positions open across Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Bahrain.
Client responsibilities
- Participate in IT Advisory Services engagements within the telecommunications industry
- Help manage the financial aspects of engagements by organizing staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders
- Participate in business development initiatives within the telecommunications industry
- Build strong internal relationships within Ernst & Young Advisory Services and with other services across the organization
Desired Skills and Experience
- Telecom Enterprise Architecture;
- Telecom IT architecture for core systems such as CRM / Billing / Order Management / Mediation, etc
- Experienced in low level design for infrastructure and the integration layers
- Solid experience in producing enterprise architecture designs to provide flexible, standardized, and secured IT environment
- Strong experience in developing transition plans to move from the current state to the reference enterprise architecture
- Solid experience in performing analysis to capture the interdependencies among systems, processes, data, technologies, applications and data.
- Certifications / Leading Practices / Standards:
- ToGAF
- Application Framework (TAM)
- Business Process Re-engineering;
- Core Telecom Business processes ( Billing and CRM ).
- Design and automation to-be business processes.
- Exposure and previous experience with testing phases such as (unit / regression / performance / system integration / business acceptance)
- Re-engineering and automating processes using ARIS platform
- Certifications / Leading Practices / Standards:
- eTOM Business Process Framework
- Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP®)
- ITIL Version 3
- Six Sigma
- Area 3 - Data Migration Skills;
- Strong understanding of data migration strategies within Telecom environment (such as CRM / Billing / Order Management / Mediation, etc.)
- Experience in Data Conversion Requirements, Data Design, and Data Testing
- Strong experience in developing or monitoring data conversion strategies
- Familiar with data cleansing strategy and data conversion architecture
You’ll have knowledge and experience in one or more of Ernst & Young’s priority industry sectors:

Additional requirements
- Demonstrated track record with a blue chip consulting organization
- Proficiency in Arabic language skills are highly desirable
- 2-4 years of the above related work experience
- Degree in computer science, engineering, accounting, finance or a related field; MBA or MS degree preferred
