Quantity Surveyor (Project Management) - Dubai, UAE
Job Purpose:
The role is focussed on supporting the site supervision team in delivering our services to the client, and mainly supporting the PM on site and in the office.
Job Responsibilities
- Anticipation and warning on issues which may impact on targeted time or cost outcomes
- Review the contractor’s monthly payment applications and report with recommendations
- Measurement of the works for the purpose of payment
- Evaluation of claims and variations, Preparation of payment certificates, Monitoring of work and financial progress against the approved construction programme
- Evaluation of the cost and time impacts of changes and variations
- Assistance in preparation of daily, weekly and monthly progress reports
Desired Skills and Experience
Basic Qualifications
Job Requirements/Qualifications/Experience:
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor for complex projects within the last 5 years, ideally in the Middle East region.
- Minimum Degree qualified preferable with a relevant qualification in QS, and ideally RICS Chartered
- Relevant post-contract site supervision experience in the Middle East (infrastructure experience preferable)
- Expertise in Post and Pre-contract work is ideal.
- Experience of FIDIC form of contract would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and report writing skills, and good presentation skills in English.
