Vice President Global Corporate Security - EMEA

Job description

This is a new position within the organisation which has regional accountability for developing and managing the security program for the whole EMEA region. This is part of a global roll out of processes that will create robust and standardised practises across all areas of crisis management and response, protection, event security, executive protection and all security related risk assessments. You will be responsible for the following:-

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with local government and law enforcement agencies
  • Assess and mitigate on going and potential risks to the business’s associates, site and operations.
  • Implement and oversee all workplace security, crisis management, security technology processes and standards
  • Oversee training and developing a culture of raised awareness towards security issues
  • Manage all security personnel and their development within the EMEA framework
  • You will be expected to travel significantly across Europe, Middle East and Africa regions and contribute to the future structural development of the security department and processes across the business

Desired Skills and Experience

This is a senior leadership role covering a large geography across EMEA region. Therefore you should be an experienced professional capable of building, motivating and leading teams of people across multiple locations.You should be able to communicate and work effectively at all levels of management and seniority within a large corporate matrix organisation. You will have excellent interpersonal, organisation, leadership, strategic and managerial skills.
The successful person should also have the following experience and skill set for this position:

  • 10 years minimum of intelligence, military or private sector experience in delivery of security programs with a significant international component
  • Bachelor degree or higher is required
  • You should have significant experience of managing corporate security frameworks and processes in similar large matrix private sector organisations
  • Experience within the Middle East region would be a distinct advantage
  • Exposure to dealing with government agencies, global law enforcement, third party risk providers and security peers
  • Strong knowledge of current security and emergency response techniques and best practises
