Job description
We are looking for a passionate retailer who will be responsible for the overall performance of our luxury lifestyle stores in Oman. You will be responsible for the sales and service standards. You will ensure that the stores deliver the highest level of customer service on a daily basis whilst identifying customer needs You will identify potential opportunities to increase sales for the area, manage stock and inventory and the retail environment standards. You will be responsible for business development in the area.
Responsibilities
Sales & Retail Operations
- Ensure upkeep of retail standards across stores
- Handling the overall responsibility of designated brand –sales & retail operations.
- Achieving sales target
- Tracking sales & developing contingency plans to cover up any shortfalls from the budget
- Ensuring the retail sales staff is well trained
- Ensure upkeep of retail standards
- Maintain standards of Visual Merchandising
Business Development, Strategy and Planning
- Create and manage opportunities in institutional sales
- Propose and implement strategies in expansion of the business in the area
- Analyzing market intelligence & suggesting appropriate sales strategies
- Participate in operations meetings and propose strategies to improve sales
- Identify potential opportunities to increase sales and footfalls for the designated stores
Customer Relationship Management
- Ensure effective and consistent customer relationship management and customer standards in the store
- Ensure implementation of CRM initiatives in the store; maintaining and using the customer databased
Staff Management
- Ensure staff grooming and discipline is to the highest standards
- Manage and train the team; responsible for training and coaching staff
- Manage staff administration and liaison between operations team and stores.
- Identify training and development needs for the team providing regular feedback and effectively implement programs that ensure that Company standards are consistently achieved
- Develop trust and loyalty through fair and consistent management of the team.
- Create a team dynamic across the multi-site area ensuring healthy competition with mutual support.
Stock Management
- Managing stock & ensuring an appropriate stock to sales ratio & ideal stock location wise
- Supporting inter shop/location stock transfers
- Enter all received goods and ensure stock control and proper record of all stock movements
- Supervise the replenishment process to avoid and report any over stock along with the suggested corrective action
- Prepare for the inventory
Marketing
- Ensure roll out and implementation of brand promotions
- Implementation of BTL activities, promotions and events
Reporting Structure
Reports to: Brand Manager
Direct Reports: 2-3
Total Reports: 10
Communication & Working Relationship
Internal: Brand/Operations team, HR , Finance, Warehousing & Logistics, Marketing, Customer Care & Retail sales team
External: Brand Principals, Mall management, Local authorities
Desired Skills and Experience
Education: Bachelors/ Masters in Business Administration is preferred
Experience: 6-8 years of experience with Luxury retail
Linguistic skills: Excellent English; Fluency in Arabic is essential; Omani national preferred.
Personality Traits: Outstanding Communication and Interpersonal abilities; Strong result orientation & creativity; sharp business acumen
Knowledge: Retail Operations in a luxury environment
