COMPANY INFORMATION

Our Client is one of the world’s premier integrated LNG enterprises. They have developed world-class facilities for the extraction, storage, processing and export of LNG, and have entered into long-term agreements to supply LNG to customers in Korea, India, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Taiwan and the Americas. The company has seven LNG trains in operation, with a total production capacity of approximately 37 million tonnes of LNG per year.

Of the 1.7 million inhabitants, 45 per cent live in Doha.

JOB BACKGROUND

You will advise, counsel and oversee economic analysis and model developments to capture the full value of short, medium and long term LNG sales to Asia, Europe and North America.
You will be responsible for providing/supporting robust economic and analytical advice up to the CEO level and the Marketing Committee level. Mentor and provide detailed economic advice to Management, Marketers and Analysts in the area of economic evaluation expertise to support Marketers for new short, medium and/or long term sales and to develop and implement marketing strategies to maximise value.

JOB REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

BSc degree in Economics, Engineering or Business Administration required
Post Graduate Degree (MBA or MSc.) preferably (Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering or related discipline) is an advantage
Minimum twelve to fifteen years experience in the oil and gas industry, including a minimum of five years experience in a front line marketing role
Astute commercial skills and judgment
An eye for detail whilst bearing in mind the bigger picture
The ability to work complex issues with a minimal degree of supervision
Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to communicate with and influence senior management level and RasGas shareholders
Strong leadership, coaching and mentorship skills
Excellent negotiating and relationship building experience is essential; high level written, oral and presentation skills (English)
Computer literacy, in particular familiarity with spreadsheets, database, word processing and presentation software
Understanding and appreciation of business practice and protocols dealing with various nationalities such as Korean, Indian, Chinese, Middle Eastern, etc

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Acts as focal point of contact for marine survey activities related to any third party planning and organising construction and maintenance activities near and above sub-sea assets. Leads the process to evaluate Technical, Operational and Safety aspects of such jobs at planning stage and follows through to monitor compliance during construction / operational stage.
Act as RG representative Marine warranty surveyor to monitor compliance as company representative on board of RG Vessels, or Third party vessels, during execution of sub-sea surveys and construction activities in the field. Liaise and mobilise as required extra Marine warranty surveyors on ad hoc basis to monitor concurrent activities in the field.
Focal point of contact with QP Marine and other Operators to synergise marine and underwater inspection campaigns and optimise costs
Technically review and liaises as required with the Installation and Interface Specialists and Legal during finalization of Pipeline Crossing Agreements to assess feasibility of proposed installation methods for crossing over sub-sea systems
Responsible for organizing Risk Assessment, JSA, MOC reviews for sub-sea marine operation and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with RGEE systems 2-1, 6-1, 6-4, 6-6 and 7-1. Responsible to ensure compliance with Company Safety, Environment, and Quality policies and programs
Performs review of a number of Marine engineering tasks Development and review of specifications and scopes of work and other related Marine activities submitted by other offshore operators, including anchor
Maintains database of all marine and survey agreements and results, ensures that all third party obligations are met through the life of these facilities.
Maintain appropriate record of correspondence, daily logs, Issues Register and Facilities Interface Tracking Database with all third parties on all key items. Ensures adherence to RG Corporate Policies, Procedures, and Agreements in all aspects of the business with Qatari laws and all other laws as required
Serve as a key member of Sub-sea Inspection Task Force providing coordination, operational input and oversight to ensure all sub-sea inspection programs are executed safely and on timely basis.
Attends regular meetings with interfacing organizations / Third Parties / Pipeline Task Force to ensure timely communication of issues and minimize interfacing disconnects, and ensures cross-functional follow-up on action items developed during interface meetings. Participates with above to develop and enforce surveillance and other coordination mechanisms to mutually safeguard near-shore and sub-sea assets.
