The GEMS Cambridge International School Abu Dhabi (GCIA) opened in September 2013. Currently we are FS1 to Year 9 and set to grow to Year 13, with an overall NOR of 3400 students, in subsequent years. Students follow the English National Curriculum and Cambridge International Examinations syllabus for IGCSE and A Level Programmes of study. The language of instruction is English. The Post: Senior Leader for Assessment and ICT (3-18 years - Primary and Secondary) (January 2015)

As we begin our second year at GEMS Cambridge International School in Abu Dhabi, we are seeking to appoint creative and experienced educationalists to strengthen and support our existing team from January 2015.

The successful candidate will hold a B.Ed or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent and have a minimum of 5 years post qualifying teaching experience, preferably 2 years in a senior leadership position in a large culturally diverse school environment

We are looking for:

· Passion for 21 st Century curriculum development and innovation, including blended learning approaches; with up to date knowledge of the new National Curriculum for England

· A dynamic practitioner to initiate and embed good practice with the ability to teach/lead on digital and new technology development across the Key Stages

· A flexible and approachable senior leader to lead on assessment procedures and effective use of data through school

· A technically proficient, logical and systematic approach to support and enhance our infrastructure development

· The ability to lead our ICT and Computing Faculty and manage teaching and non-teaching staff including Data Manager and ICT Technicians across the school

· An exceptional leader and team player who is capable of mentoring and coaching others within the school.
